Where creativity thrives, community grows.

Over the past 13 weeks at The Makery, a small but mighty group of women gathered each Friday morning to journey through The Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron. What began as a book club quickly blossomed into something so much more—a safe, inspiring, and joy-filled space to reconnect with our creative selves.

Together, we explored themes like recovering a sense of identity, navigating fear and doubt, and finding permission to create just for the sake of it. We laughed, we shared honestly, and we cheered one another on. Whether we were artists, writers, business owners, or simply curious souls—every voice mattered. Every story resonated.

Now, we’re ready for our next chapter.

Starting this month, our creative book club is diving into Big Magic: Creative Living Beyond Fear by Elizabeth Gilbert. This beautifully written book invites us to explore how to live a more creatively fulfilling life—with bravery, playfulness, and intention.

We’ll be talking about the many ways creativity shows up in our lives (even in unexpected places), how to move past perfectionism, and what it means to be open to inspiration in a noisy world. We’ll also be reflecting on how our creative selves have shifted since childhood and what it looks like to reconnect with that playful, expressive part of us as adults.

This group is open to all women looking for connection, creativity, and honest conversation. It’s now an included benefit of a Makery Membership ($30/month), which also gives you access to:
