Made Here is a celebration of the creativity that lives within The Makery community. This member-exclusive exhibition highlights original work created by Makery artists. Works made here, in the studio, or at home, each piece reflects the unique voice and creative journey of its maker.

Emerging artists and seasoned creatives alike,  this is the open invitation for our members to share what you've been working on, explore new ideas, and connect with a wider audience. All works are available for purchase, offering visitors the opportunity to support local artists and take home something truly one-of-a-kind.

 

Made Here is about more than the work on the walls. It’s about the people behind it, a reflection of a growing, creative community where art is made, shared, and celebrated together.

Join us at The Makery for Rooted Reverence, a solo exhibition by contemporary artist Hannah Moell featuring the series Of the Earth and A Cathedral of Flowers. Through photographic works printed on cotton and finished with encaustic on wood panel, Moell explores themes of nature, texture, and quiet sacredness with layered, organic beauty.

Guests are invited to meet the artist, enjoy an intimate artist talk, explore and purchase original works, and gather with fellow art lovers over light refreshments during this special reception. 

Open Call:

 

The Makery invites artists to submit work for Golden Hour, a summer exhibition celebrating warmth, light, nostalgia, and the fleeting beauty of the season.

 

From glowing landscapes and vibrant florals to quiet moments of reflection, we welcome artwork that captures the feeling of summer — bold or subtle, joyful or contemplative.

 

All mediums are welcome, including painting, photography, ceramics, fiber, printmaking, mixed media, and sculpture.

 

Selected works will be exhibited at The Makery in downtown Wake Forest throughout the summer season.
