Cancellation Policy

To ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all artists, The Makery offers pottery wheel reservations for members and visitors. Please review the following policies before booking your wheel time: 1. Reservations Required The Makery has four pottery wheels available. Booking in advance guarantees that a wheel will be ready for you when you arrive. Walk-ins are welcome but not guaranteed. 2. Session Length Wheel reservations are booked in 2-hour sessions unless otherwise noted. Artists may reserve back-to-back sessions if availability allows. 3. Arrival & Check-In Please arrive on time for your reservation. If you are running more than 15 minutes late, your wheel may be released to another artist. 4. Cancellation Policy We kindly ask for at least 12 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your reservation. No-shows may be charged the full session fee or have booking privileges temporarily paused. 5. Studio Use & Cleanup To keep The Makery safe, clean, and welcoming: • All artists must clean their wheel, tools, splash pan, and surrounding area before leaving. • Clay scraps should be disposed of in designated clay buckets—not the sink. • Please leave the wheel and workspace ready for the next potter. Failure to follow cleanup procedures may result in an additional cleaning fee or loss of reservation privileges. 6. Experience Level For open-studio wheel use, artists must have basic wheel-throwing experience or have taken a class at The Makery. If you’re brand new to pottery, we recommend beginning with one of our pottery classes. 7. Clay & Materials • Clay must be purchased through The Makery unless previously approved. • Only clay and glazes compatible with The Makery’s firing process may be used. • Outside clay or materials must be discussed with staff to ensure kiln safety. 8. Firing Fees Bisque and glaze firing fees apply based on the size and quantity of work. Firing prices are posted in the studio and on our website. 9. Shared Space Etiquette The Makery is a creative community—please be respectful of others by: • Keeping noise at a considerate level • Cleaning shared tools after use • Being mindful of space and equipment 10. The Makery’s Right to Adjust or Cancel The Makery reserves the right to adjust or cancel reservations in the event of maintenance, classes, workshops, or unforeseen circumstances. We will always notify you as early as possible and help reschedule your sessio
