Celebrate the start of fall with a cozy Pumpkin Kinusaiga Workshop at The Makery! Join us in Downtown Wake Forest, NC for a relaxing, beginner-friendly fiber art workshop where you'll use colorful fabrics to create a dimensional pumpkin design.
Kinusaiga is a Japanese-inspired textile art technique sometimes described as “painting with fabric.” Instead of sewing, pieces of fabric are carefully tucked into a prepared design to create clean lines, beautiful textures, and a quilted appearance.
Your instructor will guide you step-by-step through the process, from choosing and arranging your fabrics to learning the techniques for tucking, layering, and finishing your design. Play with different colors, prints, and textures to make your pumpkin completely your own.
Your finished 6.5" x 6.5" Pumpkin Kinusaiga artwork will be displayed in an 8" wooden frame, ready to take home and add to your fall or Halloween decor.
