Discover the art of Kinusaiga at The Makery! Join us in Downtown Wake Forest, NC for a relaxing, beginner-friendly fiber art workshop where you'll use colorful fabrics to create a beautiful dimensional floral design.

Kinusaiga is a Japanese-inspired textile art technique sometimes described as “painting with fabric.” Instead of sewing, pieces of fabric are carefully tucked into a prepared design to create clean lines, beautiful textures, and a quilted appearance.

Your instructor will guide you step-by-step through the process, from choosing and arranging your fabrics to learning the techniques for tucking, layering, and finishing your design. With a variety of fabrics available, you'll be able to play with color, pattern, and texture to make your flower uniquely yours.

Your finished 6.5" x 6.5" Kinusaiga artwork will be displayed in an 8" wooden frame, ready to take home and enjoy.
