Get into the spooky spirit and learn a unique fiber art technique at The Makery in Downtown Wake Forest, NC! In this beginner-friendly Kinusaiga workshop, you’ll create an adorable textured ghost using fabric, foam, and the traditional Japanese-inspired art of tucking fabric into carefully cut designs.
Often described as “painting with fabric,” Kinusaiga is a Japanese textile art technique that creates the look of a quilt without sewing. Your instructor will guide you step-by-step as you select fabrics, build your design, and learn how to tuck and layer fabric pieces to bring your ghost and floral details to life.
Your finished Kinusaiga artwork will measure approximately 6.5" x 6.5" and includes an 8" wooden frame, so your spooky little creation will be ready to display as part of your Halloween and fall décor.
